We're not comfortable in front of the camera. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Most couples aren't professional models — and that's exactly how it should be. I'll guide you gently throughout the session while keeping things natural and relaxed.

Where can we have our engagement session?

Anywhere that feels meaningful to you. I photograph engagement sessions throughout Melbourne, Bayside, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas.

How long does an engagement session take?

Most sessions are around 1-2 hours, depending on the package and location.

Do you help us choose a location?

Yes. If you don't already have somewhere in mind, I'll recommend locations based on the atmosphere, scenery and style you're looking for.

How soon will we receive our photographs?

Your photographs are carefully selected and individually edited before being delivered through a private online gallery.

Can we use the photographs for our wedding invitations?

Absolutely. Engagement photographs are beautiful for invitations, save-the-dates, wedding websites, guest books and albums.

What should we wear for our engagement session?

Wear something that feels like you and makes you feel comfortable and confident. You don't have to dress formally unless that's your style.

For a beautiful, timeless look, I generally recommend choosing outfits that complement rather than exactly match each other. Neutral, earthy and soft tones photograph beautifully, while simple textures and flowing fabrics can add movement and depth to your photographs.

What colours photograph best for engagement photos?

Soft neutrals, earthy tones, warm whites, creams, beige, olive, tan, muted blues and gentle pastels tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.

You can absolutely wear colour too. Richer tones such as burgundy, rust, forest green or navy can look beautiful, particularly in autumn or against natural landscapes.

The most important thing is that you feel like yourselves. Your photographs should reflect your personalities rather than follow a strict colour palette.

Can we include our family in the engagement session?

Yes. Your engagement session can be completely personal to you.

If you'd like to include parents, siblings, grandparents or children for part of the session, we can absolutely make that happen. I generally recommend starting with the family photographs and then allowing some time afterwards for just the two of you.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely! If your furry family member is an important part of your story, I'd love to include them.

We can plan the location and timing around a place where dogs are welcome and capture some photographs together before giving you some time as a couple.

Can we have our engagement session at home OR AN AIRBNB?

Absolutely.

Your home can be one of the most meaningful places to photograph this chapter of your relationship. Cooking together, listening to music, drinking coffee, cuddling on the sofa or simply spending a quiet morning together can create incredibly personal photographs.

What happens if it rains?

Melbourne weather can be unpredictable, so we always keep an eye on the forecast.

Depending on the location and conditions, a little rain can actually create some beautiful and atmospheric photographs. We can make use of clear umbrellas and create beautiful moments together.

Can we have a picnic or incorporate an activity into our session?

Absolutely.

I actually encourage couples to incorporate things they genuinely enjoy. A picnic, coffee stop, walk, bike ride, bookstore visit, beach swim or favourite date-night activity can make the photographs feel much more personal.

The more the session feels like your relationship, the better.
